Tip of the Day

Sadness and depression are different.

I was sad when my cat died. I missed her and her light going out was sad.

Depression is that for months I was overwhelmed with the belief that her death was my fault because I was not good enough.

Allow yourself to feel sadness, grief, loss and disappointment.

But try to keep blame and self-flagellation and self-hatred at bay.
